Initial accreditation was received on July 19, 2012, following a peer review conducted by CAAHEP’s Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions. The Automotive Tune-Up and Automotive Technology Programs (A.A.S., Certificate) at Southside Virginia Community College are accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) in the areas of Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, and Suspension and Steering to the Automotive Diagnosis and Tune-Up Program on February 14, 2013 following a program review conducted on November 1, 2012.
