Transfer Credits

How do credits transfer between SVCC and other institutions? An articulation agreement has been established with other educational institutions specifying which courses transfer between academic institutions. The Virginia Community College System agreements state that students who graduate from one of Virginia’s 23 community colleges with an associate degree and a minimum grade point average may obtain GUARANTEED admission to more than 30 of the Commonwealth’s colleges and universities.

That also means that you can transfer credits into SVCC as well. Check with the SVCC Admissions and Records Office or your SVCC Navigator (New Student Advisor) for information related to your specific circumstances.
