Student Government Association (SGA)
Interested in becoming a student leader on campus? Do you want to represent the student body and help make positive changes at SVCC? The SVCC SGA is an opportunity for students to become involved in shaping what happens at the college. It is the voice the student body to the SVCC Administration and is designed to meet the needs of all the students attending SVCC. SGA members represent the interests, needs, and concerns of the student body and by keep students informed about issues that affect them. Student Ambassadors
Seeking an opportunity to interact with potential and current students, while also interacting with college administrators? The Student Ambassador program is a selective program of emerging student leaders who embody the spirit of SVCC. Student Ambassadors promote the college through recruitment and outreach, support of on-campus events and initiatives, and represent the student body on college committees. Service on College Committees
SVCC encourages participatory governance and therefore designates students as members of standing and special committees concerned with institutional policies and student affairs. Students are encouraged to provide input into the decision-making process of the College through representation on several committees across the campus, such as the Bookstore Advisory Committee, Safety/Coop Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee.
Student Surveys and Input
From time-to-time SVCC will solicit your feedback through student surveys, evaluations following events/activities, or through student focus groups. SVCC really does want your honest feedback so that we can continually make improvements, so if you are asked to provide us with your opinion, we hope you will take the opportunity to tell us what you think!
