ENE 100 - Conventional and Alternate Energy Applications 4 credit(s) Prerequisite(s): ELE 176 or instructor approval Provides an overview of hydroelectric, coal, and nuclear energy production methods and renewable solar, geothermal, wind, and fuel cell technology. A complete system breakdown of conventional power production methods, efficiency, and sustainability when compared with solar, geothermal, wind, and fuel cell applications. Offered as a dual enrollment (concurrent) course. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week. Prerequisite: ELE 176 or instructor approval.
An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
