1Fulfills social science requirement where students must select from ECO 201  , ECO 202  , GEO 210, PLS 135, PSY 200, SOC 200 
2Select one from MTH 161/162, MTH 263, or MTH 264 while abiding by prerequisites 
3BIO is recommended, but students may select one from BIO 101, BIO 102, CHM 101, CHM 111, CHM 112, GOL 105, PHY 100, PHY 201, PHY 202 while abiding by prerequisites. Students should consult with the institution to which they want to transfer. Students who plan to transfer to Virginia State University should take BIO 101 and CHM 111. 
4Students who plan to pursue an agribusiness major at Virginia Tech after SVCC should select ACC 211 and MTH 245. Students who plan to pursue an agri-science major at Virginia Tech 
should select CHM 111 and CHM 112. 
5Select one from HIS 101, HIS 102, HIS 111, HIS 112, HIS 121, HIS 122 
6Students should consult with the institution to which they want to transfer to determine if additional math is required. Virginia Tech requires math beyond MTH 161/162. Virginia State University requires ACC 212 instead of additional math. 
7Select one from one of the subcategories: Art (ART 101, CST 151), Humanities (HUM 201, HUM 202, HUM 210, PHI 220, REL 230), or Literature (ENG 225, ENG 246, ENG 250, ENG 255, ENG 258, ENG 275). Students should contact the institution to which they plan to transfer to select a transferable course for that institution. 
8Select one from one of the subcategories NOT chosen from the list in footnote 7. You cannot choose two courses from the same subcategory.
