AGR 244 - Agricultural Alternative Energy Solutions 3 credit(s) Explores agricultural animals, plants, and specialty enterprises that produce energy as well as wind and solar energy solutions. Encourages students to assess current energy use of an existing residential or commercial site and implement energy reduction strategies, and student’s proposals implement current technology solutions for on-site energy production. Provides the foundation for discovering new ways to help farm and agribusinesses through basic electrical and chemical concepts and to reduce costs and research new opportunities for enhancing profitability. Includes field trips to active energy conservation and production sites, reinforcing classroom instruction. Lecture 3 hours per week.
